Jacqueline Garcia
My name is Jacqueline Garcia. I completed my studies at ASA where I took the Medical Assisting program. Currently I work as a Medical Receptionist at Dolsky Physical Therapy.
I chose the field (Medical Assisting) because I like helping the less fortunate and helping gives me inner satisfaction. Also, I was determined to provide a better life for my child. Upon hearing about ASA, I decided to give it a try. It’s the best decision I could ever made. Although I did not encounter any major challenges that prevented me from graduating, having a very helpful staff made the experience much better.
With the help of the extraordinary staff at the Career Services Department and my career advisor, Evan Chen, I was fully prepared for interviews with real businesses and looked towards permanent job placement. I plan on continuing my education to become a physician’s assistant someday.
My advice to the future graduates of ASA is to be strong and stay focused. I know it’s easier said than done, but before you know it, you will reach that light at the end of the tunnel. And once you reach the end, it will be a beginning to a new you and a new life!
