Winter Storm – The NY Campuses will be closed

Dear ASA Students,

The Tri-State area is bracing for what could be one of the biggest snowstorms in years. A winter storm warning has been issued for the tri-state area, beginning Wednesday, December 16, at 2:00 p.m.

News reports are stating that snow will start off light between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and become increasingly heavy into the evening. The period of heaviest snow is expected from around 10 p.m. Wednesday through about 5 a.m. Thursday morning with snow tapering off Thursday afternoon. Total snow accumulations are expected to be 8 to 12 inches in NYC.

The NY Campuses will be closed beginning this afternoon (3pm), 12/16/2020 through Thursday, 12/17/2020. If you have classes on campus on Friday, 12/18/2020, you should attend them as usual.

All remote and online classes will work as usual. ONLY ON-GROUND classes have been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date in NY.

Please check your ASA email, our website, and our social media for further updates.
