Reasons to Attend ASA College this Fall Discussed by Seny Taveras

Host of the show “Tu Comunidad Con Seny Taveras” and Chair of our Legal Studies Department, Seny Taveras speaks with her guest, Dean Nelson Galindo, about all that ASA College is prepared to provide for Fall Semester students. Dean Galindo offers insight into the job market and career trends that current and future students will be able to take advantage of with an ASA degree. Drawing upon his decades of experience in Business Education, Dean Galindo highlights the relevance of degrees in the Medical field in this current moment. Ms. Taveras also notes the labs and facilities available at ASA, and the range of Medical degrees offered – Medical Assisting, Healthcare Office Administration, Medical Billing and Coding, Pharmacy Technician, Health Information Technology, Massage Therapy, Ophthalmic Dispensing (new!), and Nursing.

In addition, they speak about the range of support offered to students – advisement, counseling, tutoring, library access – and ASA’s vibrant club life. Ms. Taveras makes mention of recent speaking events led by the Legal Studies Club; topics such as Black Lives Matter and the Constitutional Rights of Free Speech and Assemble were given their due by experts who know the history behind the current moment.

Their last two topics of discussion are our special resources for international students and the strength of our financial assistance offerings. ASA’s proud role as a well-known and accredited educational institution in the international and immigrant community, as Dean Galindo notes, has been central to the college’s identity since its inception decades ago. We offer many English language and Career education options suited to students with international backgrounds. Furthermore, students of all circumstances receive robust Financial Aid. ASA College gave away more than 17 million dollars in scholarships and grants last year.
