Next Stop: NJCAA Region XV Tournament for the Mad Titans

The Mad Titans will appear in their first NJCAA Region XV Tournament in just their first season of eligible participation.  Next Tuesday, February 25th, the Mad Titans will travel to the South Bronx as they will face the #13 Hostos Caimans in the Quarterfinals.  The two teams played twice this season with Hostos coming out ahead each time.  This Tournament appearance only cements a great inaugural season by the Mad Titans.  With a winning overall record, 14 regular season victories, a 7-1 non-region record, and tied for 6th place in the region standings, the Mad Titans have had a remarkable first season.

For Head Coach Jody King, Ph.D. and his program, this is not an unfamiliar territory.  This is now the 4th program (SUNY Maritime Privateers, Hostos Caimans, Mercy Mavericks, and the Mad Titans) that has been built and rebuilt under Coach King’s tutelage. “With all of our great successes as a program, this year by far has been the most rewarding.  Our student-athletes competed every night and bought into the concept of consistency and sacrifice.  Furthermore and most importantly, we had an excellent academic return in the classroom amongst our student-athletes.” Head Coach Jody King said.

Congratulations, Mad Titans!
