ASA COLLEGE MIAMI RECEIVES FINAL APPROVAL FROM THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

 

On Thursday, November 20, 2014, ASA College was granted a Licensure by Means of Accreditation (LBMA) by the Florida Department of Education Commission for Independent Education. This is a final step in the process to allow the Middle States accredited institution to provide 2 year degree programs to the Miami-Dade community.

Representing ASA College at the meeting were President Alex Shchegol, Vice President of Academic Affairs Shanthi Konkoth, Vice President of Government and Community Relations Roberto Dumaual, and Campus Dean Nelson Galindo. ASA College is proud to work with The Commission on Independent Education (CIE) and play a permanent role in the Florida education system. The CIE serves as a consumer protection agency, protects the integrity of these institutions by assuring that prescribed standards are met and to encourage higher education programs that meet the needs of the citizens of Florida.

Pathways to Success with Assemblymember Walter Mosley Assemblymember Walter Mosley, a former standout collegiate athlete himself, will be giving a speech, “Student-Athletes: Pathways to Success,” at the Brooklyn campus, on Thursday, 11/21, at 6:00pm, in Room P-102 (383 Pearl Street, Brooklyn, New York 11201). Mr. Mosley was first elected in 2012 to represent the 57th Assembly District which includes the communities of Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, and parts of Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights.
