Men’s Tennis: We’re #1!

Brooklyn, NY—The ASA College men’s tennis team (10-1) made history yesterday by receiving the #1 national ranking in the ITA NJCAA poll. It is thee first time any program at ASA has been touted the top-dog nationally in the athletic department’s relatively short history.

The ranking comes almost a week after the Avengers’ monumental regular season 6-3 victory at former #1 Tyler JC. ASA’s only defeat came at NCAA Division I Morehead State, 4-3. On the same road-trip to Tyler, the Avengers defeated #4 Seminole State, #5 Collin County, and #14 Temple handily.

ASA will will have a little break in action before getting back on the court at the University of Hartford on April 5th. Matches are scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM.
