Avengers Earn Region XV Honors
Valhalla, NY–Three ASA College men’s basketball student-athletes earned All-Region XV-Division I honors this morning at the annual post-season coaches’ meeting held at Westchester Community College. Sophomore guard Micqueel Martin was named to the region’s First Team.

Martin, a Toronto native, finished the regular season with averages of 12.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.1 apg, and 1.5 spg. His performances against regional opponents boosted his stock for a First Team nod. He would average 14.2 ppg and 6.4 rpg against Region XV members. This past Tuesday, he scored an ASA career-high 35 points including the game-winning lay-in against Monroe College.
Sophomore transfer guard, Bishop Daniels, was named to the All-Region Second Team. The Rutgers University signee led the Avengers in scoring during the regular season. He also led ASA in assists with 4.5 per contest. Daniels scored a season-high 30 points against Monroe College. He would score 20+ points in eleven of the 22 games he played in.
Freshman guard Raphael Jennings earned the region’s Sportsmanship Award. The lead guard from Washington D.C. had strong rookie season for the Avengers and did so with class and professionalism. Jennings started 19 of ASA’s 25 regular season contests. He would finish the regular season with averages 8.4 ppg, 3.6 apg, and 1.4 spg. Jennings raised his scoring average to 9.2 ppg against region opponents.
