ASA Transfer Fair- Wednesday
Brooklyn, NY—The ASA College women’s basketball defeated Kingsborough CC 93-22 this evening. ASA improves to 9-1 with the victory. The headline of the game would be freshman guard Renee Kydd‘s 61 points, tying the NJCAA single-game record for all three divisions. This past Sunday sophomore Brittany Jackson set the NJCAA record with 60 points against Oakland CC.
Kydd received her first start in her young career at ASA and responded in an immense way. She would shoot 23-47 from the field including 8-19 from beyond the arc. Her 23 field goals ties the all-time record for field goals in a game. The 5-5 guard from District Heights, MD also came up with a game-high six steals. Going into tonight’s game, Kydd was averaging 3.8 ppg.
Sophomore guard Jonitta Wallace came off of the bench to contribute 16 points on 7-9 from the field. Freshman forward Ashley Fields finished with the game’s only double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
ASA will be back on the court on December 20th to host Guilford Technical CC in the Second Annual Lady Avenger Holiday Classic.
