#19 Women’s Basketball Season Ends At Nationals
The #19 ASA Women’s Basketball team saw its season come to an end at the NJCAA Women’s Basketball National Championship as the Lady Avengers fell to #3 Hutchinson CC 77-55. The historic campaign for ASA finishes at 25-4.
Sophomore forward Tiffany Jones finished with a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds and freshman guard Kelcey Castro added 12 points off the bench.
The 2012-13 Lady Avengers raised the standard for the women’s program, notching team records for wins (25) and winning streak (15), while clinching its first ever District C championship and District C Coach of the Year award, breaking into the NJCAA polls for the first time (peaking at #19), and winning its first ever game in the National Championship.
