Priority1 – Services for Veterans and Their Spouses JOB FAIR 8.24.2017
Brooklyn Workforce 1 Career Center has partnered with the following companies for an upcoming Job Fair for Veterans and their Spouses:

Call Center Representative/Meter Readers – Position Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To) • Research and accurately input and edit information in CSS. • Under general supervision must be able to successfully perform any Accounts Processing duties including but not limited to complex billing. Successfully complete the appropriate back office function to ensure a quick and satisfactory response to the customer. Handle emergency outage calls, as needed. Meter Reader: • Must have a high school education or the equivalent. Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment. Must pass Company physical and qualifying tests. Valid driver’s license along with a safe driving history required Must be in good physical condition • Must be an approved driver of Company trucks HVAC/Plumbing experience desired Must pass Field Assessment Test

Direct Sales Representative – must possess valid NYS Driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. 40K a year plus High Monthly Commission. First-year potential to make up to 75k a year. Cable Installation Technician must have a High School Diploma or GED. Have at least 2+ years of previous experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

– All guards must have their 8/16 and valid NYS Security Guard license. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of consistent work experience as a licensed Security Guard Officer. Rates start from $12.25-$17 per hour.

 

 

– Construction Site/TD Bank/Party City/Special Events Armed and Unarmed contracts. Licensed Security Guard officer with their 8/16 and valid NYS Security Guard license. Construction Site Fire Guard (Need 8/16 Hour Certification, NYS Security Guard License and any Fire Guard License. – For TD Bank – A minimum of 1 year of security guard experience necessary. Party City – security guard experience is a plus. Special Events Part Time – Required: Active or Retired municipal law enforcement security experience is a Must – Police Officer, Probation Officer, Court Officer, Correction Officer.

Women In Need, Inc. – (Security Managers, Security Shift

Supervisors, Residential Aides and Security Guards) – Residential Aides and Security Guard candidates must possess a valid NYS Security Guard License and F-02 Fireguard license with a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of Security guard experience. Security Managers must have High School, GED Diploma, 5-7 years of experience in social services or a residential settings, valid Fire Safety License F-80 or F-58. Shift Supervisors must have 2-3 years of experience in social service or residential settings, 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred along with F-80 or F-58 Fireguard license. All candidates must have at least two professional references available upon request.

 

Line Cooks, Prep Cooks: 6 months related high volume related BOH experience. Solid customer service and communication skills. Full-time!

 

 

Sales Associates, Stock Associates, Visual Merchandisers: Must have at least six months of customer service experience, fashion retail a plus, not a must.

2022 Commencement Ceremony Tomorrow

Dear Graduating class of 2022: We are extremely excited about tomorrow’s graduation. Please arrive on August 26, 2022 by 12:00 noon to the United Palace. All graduates are allowed to go in and sign in by 12:00 noon. Guests will be able to start coming in at 1:00pm.  If you have problems with any tickets just go to the box-office, they will assign you a seat. If you have not picked up Cap and Gown you can pick up tomorrow at United...
