Feedback from Pearson English: Thanks so much for inviting us to your Professional Development Workshop on Wednesday. My colleagues and I really enjoyed the experience. It was great to hear the instructors sharing their experiences with classroom instruction techniques, and to have the chance to converse with them afterwards. As you can imagine, we get quite wrapped up in our daily task of developing materials, so to take a break and put ourselves back in “teacher mode” is something very helpful indeed. And it was made all the more enjoyable to be able to hear from such talented, well-trained, and clearly highly-experienced teachers. Not only is your staff highly-skilled, but they also have a lot of energy and “personality” (in the best sense of the word). We really enjoyed getting a feel for how teachers’ personalities add to their lessons. As we’re creating materials, we try to be mindful that teachers have different styles and different skill sets, and that these things interact with the materials to create the actual dynamic in the class. But to actually see a few examples is quite helpful to us. We’re thrilled to have this connection with your and your staff, and really appreciate your gracious invitation.
