Job Description

The ultrasound program at ASA College in Hialeah, Florida is seeking adjunct faculty with two years professional experience in the clinical setting. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required and the appropriate professional credentials of either the ARRT (S) or the ARDMS (ABD and OB/GYN). Preference is given to applicants with a master’s degree.

ASA College is institutionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the program is approved by the Commission on Independent Education, a subsidiary of the Florida Department of Education as well as by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Graduates are eligible to take the ARRT certification examination in Sonography immediately upon graduation.

The adjunct faculty position requires classroom instruction in professional courses both on-ground and in the lab for designated courses. Adjunct faculty are also expected to contribute to course lesson plan development, occasional participation on the program Advisory Board, and assisting the program chair in assessing learning outcomes. This is a contract position by semester and may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes. The position may also include clinical site visits to oversee and test students in the clinical setting. Previous teaching experience and English/Spanish bilingual ability a plus.

Positions open for the Spring of 2020. Attendance at Faculty Orientation is mandatory.
