Velvet Gray

Name: Velvet Gray

My name is Velvet Gray.I knew as of my third semester that my last semester at ASA it was going to be very hectic. I had to juggle: Working, six hard long classes, and externship.  I was told there was a way to overcome this headache. Since I had a 3.5 G.P.A I can do Distance Learning and still keep up with my good grades. Staff from the school help show you how to set up your online classes and how to use the classes during the semester. Distance learning seemed difficult due to the fact you had to stay on yourself when it came to quizzes/Exams, reading the material, projects, and the homework's.  The professors communicated with you online; it wasn't like they were standing in front of you. If you had a question you had to email them. At first I thought they would never respond, because I knew some of them had crazy schedules where they would teach online and in class, but after actually being an online student the experience was great..

The professors were very easy going. I was able to chat with my professors often, meet up with them in school to discuss work, and have extensions on the work that was due if I was unable to complete it. Distance learning allowed me to time manage my life for that semester and there after. I believe I did better my last semester because I was more organized and comfortable then I did all my other semesters. Students that have the qualified G.P.A to take Distance Learning should take the opportunity, especially if they have children or if their schedules are crazy.
