Name: Terry Alexander
Hi, I’m Terry Alexander! I successfully completed my Associate Degree in Medical Assisting and am currently employed as a Medical Biller/ Claim Examiner at Central Medical Services.
I wanted a program that would help me both professionally and personally, because I wanted more from my job (as a Home Health Aide). Although I was working with people, I wanted a career that would allow me to take on more challenges. More importantly, I was still living at home with my parents and wanted to provide a better life for my daughter.
Attending ASA made it quite convenient for me to go to school and continue my studies. The staff was extremely helpful instructing me on the complexity of the medical field, but also made sure I was ready to make my transition from being a Home Health Aide to a Medical Biller.
I would like to thank my instructors, classmates, career advisors, particularly the Career Services Department for helping me in my journey. I was emotionally touched to know that there were individuals who really cared to see me start my first job and continued assisting me until I was content. My career advisor developed and maintained close contacts with me that many people were not able to have, and for that I am extremely grateful.
My future plans include obtaining my B.A degree, which will bring me closer to accomplishing my lifetime goals. ASA is the best step you can take as a way of accomplishing your lifetime goals!!!
