Director of Sports Information- Tim Slakas  Tim Slakas was hired as ASA's first ever Director of Sports Information in May of 2009. Tim arrives to ASA from Polytechnic Institute of NYU where he was the Director of Sports Information, Compliance Coordinator, and Associate Head Coach for the men's basketball team. Before his stint in the Department of Athletics at Poly, Slakas was a counselor in the admissions department.
Tim is a 2005 graduate of Nazareth College in Rochester. He was a three-year starter on the men's basketball and team captain his senior year. After Nazareth, he would continue his education at Long Island's Dowling College in its MBA program. During his two years at Dowling, Tim was a graduate assistant for the department of athletics both administratively and as an assistant coach for the men's basketball team.
Tim will be responsible for all aspects of sports information and sports marketing at ASA. This includes organizing media guides for every sport, advertising for contests, media relations, managing the statistics for every sport, and controlling the athletic department's website. Tim Slakas
