ASA College Hosts "The Golden Age of Russian Literature"
After a world tour, "The Gold Age of Russian Literature," a cultural exhibit showcasing the great authors and folk traditons of the Russian people, was presented at ASA College.
The organizer of the show, Andrey Jurchenko of Artist TV, feels Russian culture is superfically know by a great many people but is hidden by history and time. "...most of Russia's successes and problems grew out of the 19th century. Anyone wishing to truly understand the Russian soul and culture needs to understand the authors of the 1800's, the golden time of Russian literature."
Works included portraits of literature greats such as Alexander Pushkin, Leo Tolstoy, and Anton Chekhov as well as more whimsical themes popular in this genre. Performances by cultural dancers and singers made the exhibit come to life for so many of the attendees. ASA College is a proud sponsor of this very special event.
