Women's Basketball Defeats Globe 92-16

The Lady Avenger basketball team opened the game on a 10-0 run and never looked back. The team held the Globe Knights to single digits in the first half and built a very comfortable lead from there on out. Denyse Moore (Hampton, VA/Woodside), Tyche Mozie (District of Columbia/H.D. Woodson), and Patrice Lewis (Queens, NY/August Martin) each had 15 points in the win. Moore would also add 9 assists and 11 rebounds to her line, 1 assist shy of the triple double. Tiayana Logan (Brooklyn, NY/Bedford Academy) would chip in 11 on the evening.

The win is ASA's second in a row, following its first win as an intercollegiate against region rival TCI last weekend. The team improves to 2-2 on the season. The Avengers take the court again on Tuesday, December 8th, as they face Region XV foe, TCI, at Gauchos gym in the Bronx. The game is part of a double-header with the men's basketball team. Tip-off for the women will be at 5pm, followed by the men's team at 7pm.
