ASA Women's Basketball Looking Forward to 2010
 The Lady Avengers are undefeated in Region XV play at 5-0. January 7, 2010 The Past: The women's basketball team's New Year's resolution is to continue the immediate success of its first year in NJCAA competition. Currently, the team is 5-4. More importantly, the team is 4-0 in regional Division I competition, and 5-0 in overall Region XV competition. The team has swept the two Division I series so far against TCI and Globe. The Lady Avengers also has beaten Hostos in convincing fashion 106-59. The Present: Currently, the Lady Avengers are outscoring their opponents by close to 15 points per contest. The Lady Avengers are led in scoring by sophomore transfer from Delaware State, Denyse Moore, with 15.2ppg. Moore is accompanied by University of Maryland Eastern Shore sophomore, Tyche' Mozie, with 11.8ppg. Moore also leads the team in assists and steals with 5.2 and 3.1 respectively. Mozie leads the Avengers in rebounding with 6.2 per game. Freshman forward, Leryncia Miller has been the most accurate from the field at 50% for her 9.5ppg. The Lady Avengers have had some solid contributions off of the bench from freshman forward, Shanade Bernard and freshman guard, Rachel Thomas who missed the first 4 games due to an injury. The Future: First year Head Coach Adia Revell's club looks forward to the competitive schedule for the second half of the season. The Lady Avengers will open up the New Year with Dutchess CC on January 16th at home. They will then travel down to Maryland for the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of January where they take on Southern Maryland and Prince George CC.
