Simmons and Mrazova Set to Compete in Small College Championships

Brooklyn, NY-----The Women’s Tennis doubles team of Soizette Simmons (Brooklyn, NY/Abraham Lincoln) and Simona Mrazova (Bratislava, Slovak Republic/Q.S.I.) have accepted the invitation to compete in the 2009 ITA National Small College Championships being held in Mobile, AL October 15-18. Simmons and Mrazova qualified for the event two weeks ago when they came out on top during the Wilson/ITA Junior College Regional Championships featuring 11 other teams out of the Northeastern region. The couple defeated the doubles team from Harford CC in convincing fashion (6-1; 6-1) to bring home the championship plaque to Brooklyn. Simmons and Mrazova now have the opportunity to put ASA on the map on a national level in Women’s Tennis only its first year of existence as a program! Best of luck goes out to the duo.
