Track and Field Competes In First Meet at The Armory

HARLEM, NY --- ASA Track and Field headed uptown to Harlem to compete in the Metro Coaches Collegiate Invitational at The Armory, the home of the National Track and Field Hall of Fame.

Highlights of the Avengers’ results on the day include

  • Freshman Ramoye Simon (Hollywood, FL) finishing in the Top 10 in the 60m Hurdles with a 7th place run of 8.68 seconds.
  • Freshman Steven Sanchez (Bronx, NY) finished 6th in the Shot Put, throwing 11.62 meters.
  • Freshman Dominik Montanez (Union City, NJ) recording a Top-15 finish in the 500m, running a 1:11.05, good for 13th.
  • The 4x400m Relay team of Simon, Montanez, and fellow freshmen Chad Elliott (Brooklyn, NY) and Antonio Hunt (Paterson, NJ) placed 8th with a time of 3:33.68.
