Football: Three Former Avengers Going “Bowling” This Year

Brooklyn, NY---- Three former ASA football players’ teams will be playing in BCS Bowl Games this year. Here is all of the information about the games to catch the former Avengers in action at their new homes.

Malcolm Eugene

Malcolm Eugene - Wide Receiver, Temple University
Former wide receiver, Malcolm Eugene, will be taking the field in one of the first Bowls of the season when the Owls take on Wyoming in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. Temple finished the season with an 8-4 record and only lost to #22 Penn State 14-10. The game is slated to be played on December 17th at 2pm.

Deon Cammock

Deon Cammock- Guard, Western Michigan University
Former offensive lineman, Deon Cammock, and the Broncos will be taking on the Big Ten’s Purdue University in the Little Caesar’s Bowl held at Ford Field in Detroit. The Broncos finished the season with a 7-5 record and eligibility for their fifth bowl game in seven years. The game is scheduled to be played on December 27th at 4:30pm.

Vincent Brown

Vincent Brown - OL, University of Southern Mississippi
The last “bowler” of the season will be former Avenger tackle, Vincent Brown. Brown and the Golden Eagles will be in Hawaii on Christmas Eve taking the field against The University of Nevada in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. With the win, the Conference USA Champions would finish with a 12-2 record. Southern Miss had a huge win last weekend in the Conference USA Championship game at #6 Houston. Kickoff for the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl will be 8pm.
