Football: Avengers Get Two For Conference Players of the Week

Brooklyn, NY----- The vote is out and ASA has been represented on both sides of the ball for Northeast Football Conference Players of the Week. Congratulations to freshman wide receiver Isiah Ferguson (Mount Vernon, NY)[pictured left] and sophomore Theo Alexander (St. Louis, MO)[pictured right] for being named the offensive and defensive POWs respectively for their efforts this past weekend in a 23-13 win over Erie.

Isiah Ferguson- NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Ferguson had a career afternoon for the Avengers at Erie. The 6-5 200 pound wide receiver finished the day with five receptions for 193 yards including an 87-yard touchdown reception right down the middle of the field where he started in the slot and flew under the radar of the Erie defense.

Theo Alexander- NFC Defensive Player of the Week
Alexander showed up against Erie with the same productivity he has had the past two weekends. The 6-4 190 pound defensive back finished the afternoon with ten tackles (eight solo) and a broken up pass.
