TRACK & FIELD SIGNS FIRST STUDENT-ATHLETES

BROOKLYN, NY – New ASA College Head Men’s & Women’s Track and Field Coach Christopher Mills has signed his first three student-athletes to Letters of Intent for the inaugural 2011-12 season at ASA College.

Christopher Winslow joins Avengers Track & Field after a stellar career at Mount Vernon High School in New York. Winslow competed for four year in track, winning two New York state relay championships and a National relay championship. He also was also a member of Mount Vernon’s football team as a running back and safety. Winslow plans to major in Business Accounting.

Willie Johnson comes to ASA from Paterson, New Jersey, graduating from Garrett Morgan Academy. Johnson was also a two-sport athlete at John F. Kennedy High School during his scholastic career. As a member of JFK’s Track team for three seasons, Wilson competed in the 100m and 200m events. He also excelled at football as a running back and kick returner. Johnson plans to major in Criminal Justice.

Antonio Hunt, another Paterson product, graduated from Mount Olive High School in Flanders, New Jersey before coming to ASA. Hunt was a three sport athlete at Mount Olive, receiving Second Team All-Conference honors in football, wrestling and track & field. Hunt competed in the 100m, 200m and 110m hurdles. Hunt plans to major in Computer Networking Administration & Security.
