Queens, NY --- The men’s soccer tied Globe this afternoon 1-1 to set their record at 1-2-1 and 0-1-1 in Region XV Division I play. The Avengers would strike first on a free kick goal by freshman Franck Praudel (France) [pictured] deep into the first half. Globe would answer half-way through the second half, forcing the match into over. Globe would hold on in overtime for the tie despite ASA outshooting them on goal.

The Avengers take the field again at Nassau CC on Wednesday, September 28th. Kickoff is scheduled for 8pm. ASA will play Globe again on Wednesday, October 5th, at Macombs Dam Park (across the street from Yankee Stadium). That match will begin at 4pm.
