Union, NJ--- Incoming ASA quarterback Desmond Drumright (Bound Brook, NJ) and defensive end DaQuan Kenney (Lakewood, NJ) both played in yesterday evening’s 33rd Investors' North-South All-Star Football Classic at Kean University's Alumni Stadium. Both arriving freshmen played for the South team who emerged in a 21-14 victory over the North. Drumright and Kenney will be entering their first season with the Avengers in 2011.

Drumright spent his senior season with the Bound Brook Crusaders where he led the team to a .500 record going 5-5. He threw for 2,147 yards and accounted for 25 touchdowns including 4 rushing scores. The 6-foot-2, 205 lb quarterback will look to make an impact on the 2011 season as he comes in competing with several others on a talented ASA quarterback core under the guidance of third-year offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Chris Boden.

Lakewood H.S. (NJ) was the home of ASA defensive end signee, DaQuan Kenney. DaQuan accumulated 48 tackles last season including 33 solo efforts. The 6-foot-4, 240 lb New Jersey native also recorded 3.5 sacks, 2 defended passes and 1 fumble recovery. Kenney also was involved in the Piners offense as a tight end where he documented a couple of scores.
