Football: 2011 Schedule Released

Brooklyn, NY---- The ASA football program has released its 2011 season schedule. The team will kick off the season at Albright on August 26th. For those who can make the trip to Pennsylvania, the game will start at noon. The Avengers will then be back in Brooklyn on September 10th where they will host fellow Northeast Football Conference member, Hudson Valley. Kick-off is scheduled for 1pm at Old Boys High Field. The team will host more home games at Old Boys High against conference opponents. On October 15th the Avengers will host Lackawanna at 1pm and on November 5th ASA will host new conference member, Louisburg, who make the trip in from North Carolina. For the third year in a row, ASA will close the season at conference foe, Nassau, on November 12th. The conference season rounds out with games at Dean and Erie.

Other than the Albright JV, the Avengers will play three other non-conference teams. On September 18th, ASA will travel up to West Point to play the Army JV. A week later, on September 25th, the Avengers will go across the Verrazano to take on the Wagner College JV. The team’s non-conference schedule will end at Widener University on October 29th.
