The folks at ASA College (NY) had a big season a year ago when they placed a number of athletes at 4-year schools, and are looking to do the same in 2011. They recently landed a big wide receiver prospect from a program in the Big East who says he already has one offer in the works.

ASA wide receiver Daniel Bryant has already been through all of the recruiting process as a 3-star player that committed to South Florida in 2008. After taking a medical redshirt in 2008 and then redshirting in 2009, Bryant left the Bulls' program looking to get himself back on track towards playing DI football again.

"I had some academic issues and family issues I was going through," Bryant said. "South Florida let go of me because of the academic issues and I am now ready to find a new place to call home and show everybody my full potential."

Bryant is 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and played both corner and wide receiver at USF, but will play wide receiver this season at ASA. He says one offer came in two weeks back.

"I just got offered by Bowling Green about two weeks ago," Bryant said. "They were saying they would like me to take my talents to Bowling Green."

Bryant graduated from Lawton Chiles High School (FL) in 2008, and hopes to transfer after the season with two years remaining eligibility. He says one other program could be close to offering.

"I haven't talked to them, but my coaches tell me Temple is very interested," Bryant said.

Bryant vowed to keep in contact with JCGridiron.com throughout his recruitment.
