Women’s Basketball: Lady Avengers Get Big Road Win at CCRI

Warwick, RI------ The Lady Avengers scored a big victory tonight at the Community College of Rhode Island by the score of 68-63. ASA improves to 14-10 on the season with the win.

The Lady Avengers were led by sophomore guard Symonne Davis’ (Brooklyn, NY) seventeen points on 6-10 from the field including 5-8 from long range. Sophomore center Leryncia Miller (Staten Island, NY) and sophomore lead guard Christina Delille (Queens, NY) added ten points and eight points respectively. Tanikqua McFarlane (Queens, NY) was all over the glass last night pulling down 18 rebounds for the game.

The Lady Avengers take the court again February 14th at Army JV. Tipoff is at 7pm. On February 15th, the Lady Avengers return home at St. Francis College (Brooklyn, NY) where they will host regional rival Globe at 5pm. The showdown has serious playoff implications.
