Men’s Basketball: Avengers Hold Off Westchester 82-79

Brooklyn, NY------ The men’s basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak tonight by defeating Westchester CC at St. Francis College by the score of 82-79. The win bumps the ASA up to 12-5 on the season and 2-2 in Region XV-Division I play.

The Avengers got another big game from Allan Thomas (Queens, NY) who scored a team-high 24 points on 10-16 from the field. He also added six rebounds.Sa'Quan Davis (Washington D.C.) chipped in fifteen points to go along with his seven assists.

ASA shot close to 51% from the field to the Westcos 42%. Westchester had a chance to send the contest to overtime but came up short on a three-pointer by Brandon Romain (Brooklyn, NY) who finished with a game-high 34 points.

Next up for the Avengers: Thursday, January 26th, against Monroe College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm following the women’s game at 5pm.
