FLORIDA - The ASA women's basketball team embarked on a demanding four-day road trip in central Florida between November 27-30. The Lady Avengers faced some of the Sunshine State's best program and brought a four-game split home to Brooklyn. Here are the results from each contest:

November 27, 2010
ASA 47
Indian River 66

Score at Halftime: ASA 15 Indian River 22
ASA Player of the Game: Freshman Guard Latasia Ward (Bronx, NY) - 10 pts
The Rundown:The Lady Avengers went toe-to-to with one of Florida's top team in Indian River in the Indian River Holiday Classic and trailed by only five at intermission. Unfortunately, ASA couldn't keep up the momentum in the second stanza and IRSC pulled away to hand ASA its first loss of the season. Freshman guards Jakoya Duggan (Roselle, NJ) and Ashley Watson (Detroit, MI) each contributed nine points in the loss, the team's first game without starting Sophomore frontcourt mates Leryncia Miller (Staten Island, NY) and Darleen McLeod (Bronx, NY).

November 28, 2010
ASA 61
Broward 56

Score at Halftime: ASA 24 Broward 29
ASA Player of the Game: Freshman Guard Jakoya Duggan (Roselle, NJ) - 20 pts
The Rundown: ASA bounced back from their defeat to Indian River by coming from behind to beat Broward College on the last day of the Indian River Holiday Classic. The two teams played each other close throughout the game but it was Duggan and Sophomore forward Ronniesha Lucas (Queens, NY) that provided the edge in ASA's favor. Lucas scored 17 points and fellow Queens native Sophomore guard Christina Delille added nine points and five assists.

November 29, 2010
ASA 66
Brevard 53

Score at Halftime: ASA 26 Brevard 32
ASA Player of the Game: Sophomore Guard Christina Delille (Queens, NY) - 24 pts
The Rundown: A power outage in the Brevard facility delayed the game 30 minutes but didn't stop Delille from lighting up the scoreboard. She scored 17 of her 24 in the second half to help erase ASA's six point halftime deficit. Lucas added 12 points to the tally and Duggan added nine.

November 30, 2010
ASA 59
Palm Beach 64

Score at Halftime: ASA 33 Palm Beach 27
ASA Player of the Game: Sophomore Guard Christina Delille (Queens, NY) - 15 pts
The Rundown: The final game of the Lady Avengers' trip followed the trend of the previous two, with the halftime leader winning the contest. Unfortunately, the Lady Avengers were on the wrong end of the closely contested loss against Palm Beach. ASA had three players in double figures (Delille - 15, Duggan - 13, Lucas - 10) and fought to the bitter end against the Panthers.

ASA will look to build upon the successes found in Florida as they participate in the Monroe CC Classic December 3-4 Rochester, NY.
