BROOKLYN, NY – Head Coach Adia Revell often refers to the ASA women's basketball team as being on "the brink of greatness." Against the Community College of Philadelphia, the Lady Avengers validated that sentiment.

Five players scored in double figures and ASA (2-0) completely dominated CCP 93-32 Saturday afternoon at St. Francis College.

Sophomores Christina Delille (Queens, NY) and Darleen McLeod (Bronx, NY) led the charge on offense with 13 points each. Delille went 2-for-5 from the field and 9-for-10 from the free throw line, while McLeod shot 5-for-12 and 3-for-5 from the charity stripe. Sophomore forward Leryncia Miller (Staten Island, NY) and Freshman guard Ashley Watson (Detroit, MI) each had 12, while Freshman guard Cristal Liriano (New York, NY) scored 10.

ASA went buzzer-to-buzzer with the lead, scoring on the game’s first possession and never falling behind in the contest. The defense had 26 steals and held CCP to one of the lowest points against totals in ASA’s young history.
