Men’s Basketball: Avengers Blow by Roxbury for Tournament Championship, 106-73

Boston, MA----The men’s basketball team took home the Roxbury tournament champions trophy back to Brooklyn this afternoon after defeating host, Roxbury in the finals 106-73. The Avengers improve to 2-0 on the season with the victory.

ASA opened up the game up early just as they had in the semifinals against Bunker Hill yesterday. The team enjoyed a 52-35 at the end of the first half. The lead would continue to grow starting early in the half and remaining a steady 25-30 points for the rest of the contest.

Tournament MVP, freshman point guard Sa’Quan Davis (Washington D.C.) [Pictured] led ASA with twenty points. He was joined on the all-tournament team by Allan Thomas (Queens, NY) who with seventeen points in finals including four three-point field goals. Every Avenger scored in the game.

ASA takes the hardwood again on November 16th at Bronx CC. Tipoff is scheduled for 8pm.
