Men's Soccer Defeats Globe in Season Finale

Ridgewood, NY----- The men’s soccer team completed their season tonight with a 5-3 win over Region XV rival, Globe, at Met Oval field.

The Avengers scored in the seventh minute of the match on a Danguet Ndiaye (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus) for the match winner. Juan Murillo (Queens, NY/Newtown) added to the lead on a penalty kick in the 26th minute. Globe would cut the lead on a goal in the 33rd minute to close out the first half.

ASA would add to their lead in the second half on two goals from Hamza Twomey (London, England/Whitefield Sports College HS)[Pictured] and a goal by Artiz Artoni (Sao Paulo, Brazil). Globe would make the match interesting on two late goals.
