Johnson and Watson Earn POTW Honors October 5, 2010
Brooklyn, NY----- The NFC Players of the Week were announced today for Week Five and ASA swept the offensive and defensive honors for the second time this season. Sophomore quarterback, Chris Johnson [left] (Philadelphia, PA/Roman Catholic), was name the Offensive POTW for his efforts against Alfred State on Saturday. Johnson was 22 for 38 passing for a total of 283 yards. He also added 42 rushing yards on six carries. His touchdown passes were from 42 yards and 21 yards out in the 31-7 victory. Sophomore defensive end, Keith Watson [right] (Brooklyn, NY/Erasmus Hall), was named the Defensive POTW for the second time this season. Watson had a monster showing finishing the game with seven tackles, six of them being for a loss and two were sacks. He also intercepted a pass deflected by teammate, Kevin Robinson.
