Football: Former Cornerback Featured on ESPN August 17, 2010  Andre Kates- Former Avenger Cornerback Brooklyn, NY----- Recently, former Avenger standout cornerback, Andre Kates, was featured on the Big Ten Blog site supported by ESPN.com. The story tells of Kates’ road to Indiana and ASA being one of his key stops. Kates had a stellar lone season for the Avengers last year after transferring from Erie CC. He was named Triumphant Sports Junior College Player of the Year at an All-Star Bowl game in Arizona. Kates signed with Indiana this past signing day. He is the first ASA football player to do so.
