Brooklyn, NY------ History was made today as Simona Mrazova (Bratislava, Slovak Republic/Q.S.I. International School of Bratislava) became the first women’s tennis player to sign a National Letter of Intent with a four-year institution. Mrazova will be attending Pace University this coming fall on an athletic scholarship and is expected to crack the top three in singles right away. The business major had a doubles ranking as high as #13 in the nation at one point this year. She had a key singles win against national power, Hillsborough (FL), at the NJCAA Nationals held in Tuscon, AZ. On top of her success on the court, Mrazova is leaving ASA with a 3.4 overall GPA. Head Coach, Richard Bowie, is excited about Mrazova’s future explaining, “Simona was a great contributor to the ASA team in earning its #7 National Ranking. Its an honor and pleasure for me to send her off to a great four-year university, where she will continue her studies and tennis career.”
