This 2-semester certificate program is designed for people who plan to pursue careers as medical coders and billers.

Curriculum is focused on Microsoft Office applications, medical terminology, medical billing & insurance, medical ethics & law, and industry standard ICD-9 and CPT-4 codes.

This certificate program provides a solid foundation for making the transition to ASA�s college degree program in Medical Assisting.

The NYS Department of Labor projects that medical billers and coders will have "very favorable" job prospects through at least 2014.
