Being a single mom and going to college presented its share of challenges. But I did it! I am a proud graduate of ASA. I completed my studies and obtained my Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting (with a concentration in Physical Therapy). The staff at ASA helped me a lot. The professors were great. They took their time until I understood the work, and they also provided free tutorials. This helped me maintain a 3.5 GPA.

The Career Services Department was also great! I was hired at Champion Medical Services Downtown Manhattan at one of its four offices. The Career Services Department helped me with my resume and taught me how to prepare for an interview.

Having had my daughter at an early age, my family often worried that I wouldn’t remain focused on furthering my education. I used that energy as my motivation to overcome obstacles which could have prevented me from accomplishing my goals. Today, I am on the right track and I am thankful to all of the staff at ASA for their support and confidence in me. Thank you ASA!
