Information Literacy Across the Curriculum
(ILAC)
Welcome to the ILAC page. Since all students are taking, or have completed LIB100 (Information Literacy), this page will serve as a review or assist you with using your information skills in every other course and developing them further until they become a lifetime habit.

ASA is committed to excellence in education and with providing students with the ability to become lifelong learners. Information gathering, evaluation, and use are integral to acquiring knowledge in every aspect of life. Information Literacy Across the Curriculum will reinforce and advance information skills by incorporating and measuring them in every class. The following five competencies were developed by the Association of College and Research Libraries Division of the American Library Association and have been adopted and in use in colleges and universities across the United States. ASA supports them with a dedicated course, LIB100, and will integrate them in every other course.
