2014 Graduation Ceremony will be held at


Friday, July 25, 2014 at 4:30pm

Dear ASA Graduate:

We are pleased to inform you that your  commencement ceremony will be held on Friday,  July 25, 2014 at 4:30 at The Theatre  at Madison Square Garden (4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, New York 10001).  Contained in this letter is information  pertaining to the commencement ceremony.   It is crucial that you carefully read and follow the instructions below:

  • Take care of  your Financial Matters:  Federal regulations  require all graduating students who have taken a Federal Stafford Loan to  complete an exit interview.  In order to  graduate, you must settle all of your financial matters.  If you have an outstanding balance, please go  to the Office of Student Accounts to settle your account. 
  • Complete the ASA  Graduate 2014 Survey Response to provide us with information we need  to prepare the final touches of your special day.  You must submit your response at the time you  pick up your cap and gown.  You will not  receive your graduation package without submitting a completed survey.  You can get the survey response in one of the  following ways:

    1: Download and print the graduation survey by clicking here, complete it and be prepared to submit it when you pick up your cap  and gown, OR

    2: Complete  the enclosed ASA Graduate 2014 Response form and be prepared to submit it when  you pick up your cap and gown.

  • Pick up your graduation  cap & gown,  graduation guidebook, name tag, and tickets for your guests at our Brooklyn  location (151 Lawrence Street, Room 206, Brooklyn, NY 11201), according to the  following schedule:

    Monday, July 7th

     Tuesday, July 8; Wednesday, July 9;
    Thursday, July 10;   Friday, July 11   

                  Saturday, July 12th

    11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

    11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

    10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

    3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.

    3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.

    2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.


  • Your  name tag is your admission ticket to the graduation ceremony. You will have  four (4) tickets for your guests.  Only  those with tickets will be admitted to the ceremony.

  • You  must be at The Theater at Madison Square Garden at 4:00 P.M. with your name tag  and cap & gown.  You will receive  instructions for the Grand March at the Theatre.  Instructions for your guests can be found in  your graduation guidebook.

  • For  information regarding accommodations for persons with disabilities attending  the graduation ceremony, please contact Mr. Bateman Harris by e-mail at or by phone at  718-522-9073, Ext. 2221.

You  will be trying on your gown when you pick it up to insure you are comfortable  with the fit.  Hence, it is a good idea  to wear or bring the shoes you will be wearing at the ceremony.
