Distance Learning @ ASA

ASA offers more than 30 courses in the Distance Learning format, as part of the college's commitment in providing quality education and extensive student support. Take a course anytime, anywhere --at your convenience!

The Advantages

  • Everything you need is online, except for your book. Your course syllabus, class assignments teacher notes are always at your fingertips.
  • Class Discussion Board - post questions or comments and communicate with classmates and your professor anytime!
  • Quick Teacher Response - receive a reply within 24 hours when you contact your professor by email or phone.
  • 24/7 Technical Support- user support for our software is available by phone or email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    Study at your own pace without having to wait for other students.
  • Complete access to all student services, including student advisement, Learning Center and the Financial Aid department.
  • Flexible schedules to accommodate your busy lifestyle, especially if you have family and/or work responsibilities.

How it Works:

Online courses are open to students who have completed 1 semester and earned at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

  • Register for your online courses at the Registrar's Office.
  • Log in to your course to see assignments and reading material listed for each week.
  • Participate in discussion boards and chat sessions with the professor and your classmates.
  • Do the course work for each class (approximately 3 hours/week on average).
  • Your professor monitors your work and participation each week and provides feedback.
  • Take your final exam on campus. This is the only time you will have to be on-site.
