  Name:Dennis Adolphus
My Name is Dennis Adolphus. I recently graduated from ASA College. My first Semester of college was great, because I was a full time student and I had no job so my schedule was fit for school. In my second Semester of school I was introduced to online classes.
My second semester started in June 2009. I was picked to work for a summer youth program that same month. In order to be a full-time student I had to taking a minimum of twelve credits per semester. To work for summer youth I had to work twenty-five hours a week.
I wanted to make extra money without taking off a semester. So I signed up for two online classes to free up my time and still be a full-time student. The online Courses were referred to as Distance learning, in which students can take a course online and not have to be in the building.
The online course was very convenient for me. I was given an assignment every week, materials to study, a midterm and a final. I was able to study and finished assignments on my own time before they were due the following week.
After passing the courses I continued to take online classes for the next two semesters. I realized that I was the type of student that really didn't need a professor to explain to me what I was writing or reading during class.
Now that I'm a graduate of ASA College I want to say that the distance learning department helped me to succeed in my field of studies by freeing up time and space in my day, and helping me to participate in the courses on my own time without out coming to the campus. |
