Business/Accounting


This program of study is designed for people who plan to pursue accounting or management careers.

Students take courses in accounting, advanced business, general education and office technology. They also learn how to evaluate business operations using accounting principles and expertise.

Curriculum focuses on developing logical, critical and analytical thinking as well as leadership skills that are vital to management (e.g. teamwork, negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving, etc.)

Career Opportunities
Graduates are prepared for many careers, some of which are listed here. This program also provides students with a solid foundation to make the transition to a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration.

The NYS Department of Labor projects that accounting and business professionals will have “very favorable” job prospects through at least 2014.
