About ASA Women's Tennis

The ASA Women’s Tennis program has seen a fair share of success since its inception in the fall of 2009. New Head Coach Wayne Martin, hired in the summer of 2011, plans to bring a wealth of experience and new energy to the Women’s program, helping bring back some of its early success as it competes on a local and national level.

In 2010 alone, Women’s Tennis would:

Finish the Spring 2010 season ranked #7 in the nation, according to the ITA NJCAA poll.
Qualify for the NJCAA Nationals held in Tucson, AZ.
Place a Doubles Team in the Nationals Finals.
Have three players named NJCAA All-Americans for their efforts at Nationals.
Host the ITA Regional Tournament at the US Tennis Center, the home of the U.S. Open.
Win the ITA Regionals Singles (Tetiana Kovalska) and Doubles (Tetiana Kovalska/Lyudmyla Livoska) events.
Show well at the ITA Small College Championships (Kovalska/ Livoska)
Compete in the USTA College Invitational, showing well against four-year schools.
