About ASA Women's TennisThe ASA Women’s Tennis program has seen a fair share of success since its inception in the fall of 2009. New Head Coach Wayne Martin, hired in the summer of 2011, plans to bring a wealth of experience and new energy to the Women’s program, helping bring back some of its early success as it competes on a local and national level. In 2010 alone, Women’s Tennis would: - Finish the Spring 2010 season ranked #7 in the nation, according to the ITA NJCAA poll.
- Qualify for the NJCAA Nationals held in Tucson, AZ.
- Place a Doubles Team in the Nationals Finals.
- Have three players named NJCAA All-Americans for their efforts at Nationals.
- Host the ITA Regional Tournament at the US Tennis Center, the home of the U.S. Open.
- Win the ITA Regionals Singles (Tetiana Kovalska) and Doubles (Tetiana Kovalska/Lyudmyla Livoska) events.
- Show well at the ITA Small College Championships (Kovalska/ Livoska)
- Compete in the USTA College Invitational, showing well against four-year schools.
