About ASA Women's BasketballThe ASA Women’s Basketball team heads into the 2011-12 campaign – its third in the NJCAA after starting as a club team in 2008-09 – after a 2010-11 season where they recorded a 17-13 record and won the Region XV Division I championship over Globe Institute. The win propelled them to their first District III Division I championship game in only their second year of NJCAA competition. Key wins during the campaign for the Lady Avengers and Fourth-Year Head Coach Adia Revell included wins over Monroe College (2011 NJCAA Division II National Champion), two triumphs during a four-game road trip to Florida, and a successful showing in the Genesee Holiday Tournament. The first wave of Lady Avengers moved on to NCAA schools in 2010-11. Institutions where ASA Women’s Basketball alumnae will be attending this year include Hampton University (Christina Delille), Lincoln University (Denyse Moore, Darleen McLeod, Leryncia Miller), Ursuline College (Shanade Bernard), Brooklyn College (Tiayana Logan), and Salem International (Shaaiza McKoy).
